WEIMER, Elsie M.

Elsie M. Weimer, 79,Somerset, died Dec. 1, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born 
April 12, 1928, in Somerset, a daughter of Harry L. and Bessie M. (Critchfield) 
Bittner. Preceded in death By parents, son, Alan David Weimer and brother, 
Vernon Bittner. Survived by husband, David Charles Weimer, to whom she was 
married 59 years; daughter, Mrs. Terry (Elizabeth "Betsy") Fitzgerald, 
Stoystown; grandchildren, James E. Schrock and wife, Julie, Rockwood; Angela M. 
Weimer, Somerset; Curtis D. Weimer, Somerset; Christopher Fitzgerald and friend, 
Alena Shaffer, Stoystown; Mrs. Dennis (Laura) Naugle, Johnstown; Adam 
Fitzgerald, Stoystown; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Cade Schrock and Kylie 
June Fitzgerald. Also survived by sister and brothers, Delores Lape and friend, 
Steve Benedict, Berlin; John Bittner and wife, Sue, Somerset; and Leroy Bittner, 
York; And daughter-in-law, Patricia Weimer, Somerset. A 1946 graduate of 
Somerset High School, she also attended Indiana University. She worked as a 
bookkeeper for Weimer's Blacksmith until her retirement in 1991. Also a member 
of First Christian Church where she was in the choir and taught Sunday school 
for many years. Also a member of OES Chapter 138, Somerset Garden Club and 
Somerset Music Club where she was past presidents. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 
to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and one hour 
prior to the service, which will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First 
Christian Church, Somerset. Pastor Daniel F. Nicksich and Pastor John J. Barchey 
officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Contributions May be made to American
