Born Nov. 8, 1918, in Salisbury, he was a son of the late William Weimer and Elizabeth (Merrbach) Weimer Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Violet (Garlitz) Weimer, June, 23, 1995; three brothers- John, Christopher and Charles Weimer, and two sisters, Anna Shorts and Clara Weimer. Mr. Weimer was retired from Winner Brothers Coal Co. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Salisbury, and formerly Old St. Ann's Shrine, Avilton. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include two sons: Robert S. Weimer, Huntingtown, Md.; and Michael H. Weimer, Lebanon; five daughters: Judith A. Baker, Winchester, Va.; Sharyn M. Grimm, Clarksburg, Md.; Barbara W. Prichard, Ruckersville, Va.; Janine J. Weimer, Avilton; and Joann M. Warnick, Grantsville, Md.; one brother, Harvey Brown, Salisbury; two sisters: Norma Thomas, Somerset; and Caroline Geisweidt, Meyersdale; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends were received March 15 and 16 at Newman Funeral Homes P. A., Grantsville. Mass of Christian Burial was held March 17 at Old St. Ann's Shrine with the Rev. William Moody officiating.
