Elmer Weimer, 85, Somerset RD 5, died July 25, 1994, at his residence. Born Jan. 10, 1909, in Larimer Township, Somerset County. Son of the late Calvin Luther and Emma Belle (Hostetler) Weimer. Preceded in death by wife, the former Lottie Elizabeth McKenzie, on Oct. 18, 1974; a son, Robert Weimer; grandson, William Weimer; two brothers, Howard and William Weimer, and a sister, Margaret Overhulser. Survived by these children: William L. Weimer, Issaquah, Wash.; Harold G. Weimer, Gladys, Va.; Mrs. Nick (Ruth) Reale, Yorkville, N.Y., and Mrs. Judy Gary, Berlin; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Mary Bittner, Berlin. Also survived by a caretaker and close friend, Genevieve Zorn, Somerset RD 5. He was a self-employed electrician. Member of Rayman Church of the Brethren. Past deacon and Sunday School teacher. Founder of the Starliters Ministries. Deputy game warden 1948-1980. Past president of the Somerset Sportsmen Association. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rayman Church of the Brethren, with Rev. William N. Hay officiating. Viewing at the church from 9 a.m. to time of service. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 651 S Center Ave., Somerset, Pa., or Rayman Church of the Brethren, in care of Maxine Barron, 1091 W. Main St., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
