Weimer, died at her home on Broadway, at eleven o'clock Thursday morning, March 7. Death was due to diabetes and complications. She had been seriously ill for some time. She was the oldest daughter of Samuel D. Brant, veteran of the Civil War. She is survived by the following children: Charles W., at home; John M., of Meyersdale; Allen B., recruiting officer of U.S. Navy at San Bernardino, California; Mrs. Clara Glessner, Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. May Blades, Cumberland, Md.; also by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one brother, J. U. Brant, Canton, Ohio; and two sisters; Mrs. J. W. Daugherty, McKeesport, and Mrs. Annie Meehan, Meyersdale. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family home on Broadway, Rev. Nelson Brown officiating. Funeral arrangements in charge of H. R. Konhaus. Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Miller, Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Daugherty and Mrs. White, McKeesport; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sipe, Latrobe; Mr. and Mrs. George Welchonse, State College; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jackson and daughter, Bellwood, Pa.; William Meyers, Mrs. Derwood Weber, Norbert Meyer, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Estes, Smithville, Ohio; Christ Shockey, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lohr, Johnstown; Mr. and Mrs. Eli Shockey, Stoystown; Mr. and Mrs. John Cross, Deal, Pa., and Miss Margaret Connor of Cumberland. Meyersdale Republican, March 14, 1940 ---- MARY E. WEIMER Mrs. Mary E. Weimer, widow of Peter Weimer, passed away at her Broadway home at 11:30 o'clock this (Thursday) morning following an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, of which she was a member. H. R. Konhaus, local mortician, is in charge of the funeral arrangements which are yet incomplete.
