Weimer, 69, of Fort Wayne, Ind., formerly of Rockwood, died Oct. 24, 1979, in Fort Wayne. She was born Oct. 24, 1910, in Rockwood, a daughter of the late Edward and Etta (Wable) Weimer. She is survived by her brother, Edward Weimer, of Shanksville. Miss Weimer spent her entire life in the teaching profession. She was an English professor at the Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne for 25 years. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Wittenburg College in Ohio, and her master's degree in English from the University of Pittsburgh. She attended Harvard University and also the University of Colorado. She taught in the Somerset and Rockwood public schools. She was a past president of the Altruso Lodge, a member of the American Association of Women, and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of the Trinity English Church of Fort Wayne, Ind. Services were conducted Saturday at the Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, Ind. Friends were received at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral services were conducted with the Rev. Clarence C. Moore officiating. Interment in the Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
