Born. Feb. 9, 1901 in Avilton, a son of the late Edward F., and Sarah C. (Chancy) Weimer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Hoye) Weimer. His only surviving sibling, Alphonsus Weimer died Feb. 7, 2000. Survivors include five sons: Stanley L. Weimer, Gettysburg; Joseph Weimer, Cumberland, Md.; Robert Weimer, Baltimore; Ronald Weimer, Star Route, Frostburg, Thomas Weimer, Avilton; three sisters, Mary T. Brannon, Mount Savage; Doris Pope, Salisbury, Pa., and Helen Miller, Meyersdale; also 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Mr. Weimer was a retired farmer and coal miner and was a foreman of the Broken Heart Coal Mine. He was a member of St. Ann's Shrine, Avilton. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Home, P.A., Grantsville, Md. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 3:45 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Shrine, Avilton, with the Rev. Bernard White as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.
