Weimer was born in Milford Township on Dec. 4th, 1865, and died in Rockwood, August 23, 1931. He was the son of the late Harrison and Catherine Weimer. Funeral services were conducted in the Rockwood United Brethren Church by Rev. Charles C. White, on August 26th, and the body was interred in the Meyersdale Union Cemetery. Mr. Weimer was a resident of Meyersdale for many years, being engaged in business as a contractor and builder, and later in electric repair work. Mr. and Mrs. Weimer moved to Rockwood some years ago, and he operated an automobile shop there for several years. Following this he was selected as janitor for the Rockwood High School building for four years and had recently been elected for the coming year. He was an active worker in church and Sunday school, both at Meyersdale and Rockwood. He was particularly active in the promotion of the music program. He was also active in the work of the Rockwood Community Men's Chorus, and was a member of Meyersdale Lodge, I.O.O.F. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elda (Cook) Weimer and a daughter, Mrs. L. R. Sommers of Balboa, C.Z., Panama, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. L. J. Long, of Rockwood; N. W. Weimer, of Boswell, G. W. Weimer, of Lancaster, and C. I. and H. A. Weimer of Somerset.
