  Carlos "McGriff" Weiss, 86 of Somerset died Nov. 1, 1999 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born July 14, 1913 in Somerset he is the son of the late
  Orlando and Marion (McGriff) Weiss.  Also preceded in death by first
  wife, the former Anice Ross and second wife, the former Clova
  Foust.  Survived by sons: Dennis H. Weiss, married to the former
  Diann Ansell of Lehighton and Devon L. Weiss and friend Judy Kelley
  of Stoystown.  Grandchildren: Stephanie D. Weiss of Somerset,
  Danielle L. Weiss of Shippensburg, Shannon D. Weiss of Berlin, Dustin
  L. Weiss of Shippensburg and long time companion Thelma Coleman of
  Somerset.  Member of First United Methodist Church where he was
  active in the church choir.  A W WII Army veteran serving in China,
  Burma, India battle.  Retired from the former Weiss Dry Cleaners,
  Beacon Restaurant, Somerset Door and column, Somerset Taxi and
  Mussers Bakery.  Active member of the Somerset Senior Center and a
  former trumpet player for various local groups.  Friends received 7-9
  Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday with the Rev.
  Patricia Nelson officiating.  Interment in the St. John's Cemetery.
