  Phyllis I. Wellen, 72, of Garret died July 2, 2000 at Conemaugh
  Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Aug. 3, 1927 in Somerset. 
  A daughter of the late Edith Shumate.  Survived by her cousin,
  Pauline Bush, with whom she resided in Garrett.  Phyllis worked as a
  clerk in a drugstore in Ohio for many years before moving to
  Garrett.  A member of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett. 
  Friends will be received 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, the time of service at
  the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with the Rev. Glenn P. Foster
  officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
