Weller, well known merchant of Summit Mills, died in the Hazel McGilvery Hospital about 1 o'clock Thursday, Feb. 4. He was aged 53 years and was a life-long resident of Summit Mills, where he operated a general store for many years. He sustained a badly bruised thigh several weeks ago, which seems to have started a complication of ailments that caused him to take to his bed on Monday. A doctor was called and later another was summoned, but despite their efforts his condition continued to become worse. Wednesday afternoon he was rushed to the Hazel McGilvery Hospital, in the J. L. Tressler ambulance, and died there early the next morning. Mr. Weller is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Keim Weller, and six children, namely, Mrs. Frances Weller Ihhoff, Kenneth Weller of Akron, O.; Pearl, Woodrow, Dale and Clark, all at home; also by three brothers and one sister, namely: John Weller of Waterloo, Iowa; Harvey Weller, Rock Lake, North Dakota; Charles N. Weller and Mrs. Ida Thomas of Summit Mills. Funeral services will be held in the Church of the Brethren sanctuary in Summit Mills, Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in the Lichty Cemetery, with Undertaker J. L. Tressler in charge. Meyersdale Republican, February 4, 1932
