"Fuzzy" Wellington, 64, of Jackson St., Garrett, died Feb. 5, 1998, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Jan. 11, 1934, in Summit Township. Son of the late Irvin and Irene (Dunmyer) Wellington. Preceded in death by stepmother, Martha Wellington; three brothers and a sister and a granddaughter. Survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Mary Romesburg, and the following children: Mrs. Stephen (Barbara) Benford; Ray, married to the former Peggy Poorbaugh, and Mrs. Robert (Pauline) Sterner, all of Garrett; Ronald, married to the former Darlene Boden, of Zelienople; Mrs. William (Arlene) Hollis; Charles, married to the former Nancy Henry; James Wellington, Keith Purbaugh and Loretta Miller, all of Rockwood; Dale, married to the former Lugene Knepper, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Mark (Tracey) Phillippi of Fort Hill; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Pauline Smith of Waynesboro. Stepsisters Doll Berkley of Boynton, Jean Fike, Laura Schardt and Betty Fisher, all of Meyersdale. Employed by Arlen Miller at the Distillery Saw Mill. Member of the Sons of the American Legion, New Baltimore Sportmen's Club, Garrett Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel Falls and Kennell's Mill Sportmen's clubs. An ardent hunter and fisherman. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, with Rev.
