"Wimp" Wellington, 67, of 292 Vine St., Berlin, died Nov. 17, 1980, at home. He was born May 25, 1913 in Garrett. He was the son of the late Irvin and Elsie (Logue) Wellington. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife the former Vera Gindlesperger, his stepmother Mrs. Martha Wellington, of Meyersdale and these children: Kenneth and Robert, both of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Janet Hay, Berlin; Donald, at home; Tommy, Berlin RD 3; and Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Wojnarowski of Boswell. Also, eight grandchildren a brother Thomas, of Boynton, and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Pauline) Smith of Waynesboro and Mrs. Noel (Margaret) Hodges, of Stewartstown, also a half brother and four half sisters. He was a member of the UMWA and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed by Scurfield Coal Company until his retirement. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin where services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment Brotherton Pike Cemetery.
