  Ponella L. Welsh, 69, of East Broadway, Rockwood, died June 9, 1994,
  at Somerset Hospital.  Born June 16, 1924, in Uniontown, daughter of
  the late Fermman Cox and Ida Marshall Cox Welsh.  Preceded in death
  by three brothers: Gerald Marvin, George Welsh, and Ernie Welsh; also
  four sisters: Kathryn Burt, Marie Guthrie, Virginia Ashmore and Laura
  Lightner.  Survived by a niece with whom she made her home, Anna
  Dunkle.  Attended Christian Alliance Church in Rockwood.  Friends
  will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hummell and
  Barnhill Funeral Home Inc., 585 Fayette St., Washington, Pa., where
  service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday.  Interment, Washington. Pa.,
  cemetery.
