  Charles M. "Chuck" Wendle, 73, of Mercy Nursing Care Center,
  Johnstown, formerly of Windber, died Aug. 19, 1989 at the Center. 
  Born Jan 18, 1916 in Bedford County, son of the late Harry and Helen
  (Mason) Wendle.  Preceded in death by wife, the former Rheubena
  Barndollar and sisters Pauline and Mae Smith.  Survived by brothers
  Harry of Ogletown and William, married to the former Mildred Pile of
  Somerset.  Member of the NRA, Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist
  Church, Church Building Committee and Friendly Sunday School Class. 
  The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at
  the Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber.  Funeral service at 11 a.m.
  Tuesday at the Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church, with the
  Rev. David Evans officiating.  Interment Richland Cemetery.
