Born June 7, 1926 in Somerset Township. Daughter of Charles Albert and Gertrude Mae (Beal) Pile. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband William Richard Wendle to whom she was married 42 years; stepmother Helen L. Pile of Lowell, Ark.; daughter Mrs. Edwin (Cindy) Mayak of Ralphton, and two grandchildren, J. Brandon and William W. Lane. Sister of Alfred E. Pile of Somerset and Ronald F. Pile of Lowell, Ark. Attended Berlin Alliance Church. A 1946 graduate of Somerset Township High School. Retired cook at the former Somerset State Hospital retiring in 1989 with 11 years service. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Sherman H. Berkey officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1560 North Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
