  WENGERD
  
  Alta M. Wengerd, 76, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Salisbury RD 1,
  died Sept. 29 in Glendale.  Born Oct 13, 1912 in Elk Lick Township,
  daughter of the late William and Amanda (Slabaugh) Haning.  Preceded
  in death by one son, Paul.  Survived by her husband, Allen J. of
  Glendale, four sons: Budd A. of Springs; John S. and Eugene R. both
  of Salisbury R.D. 1 and William E. of Oakmont; daughter Mrs. Mary L.
  Bontrager of Peoria, Ariz.  Also survived by two brothers: Ray Haring
  of Springs and Samuel of Woodstock, III.; 11 grandchildren and one
  great-granddaughter.  She was a member of the Springs Mennonite
  Church.  Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9
  p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salibury.  Funeral services Tuesday
  at 10:30 a.m. at the Springs Mennonite Church, the Rev. Steven J.
  Heatwole officiating.  Interment, Springs Cemetery.  Body will lie in
  state at the church Tuesday from 9:30 to time of service.
