WENGERD, Darlene B.

Darlene B. Wengerd, 76, Grantsville, Md., died July 20, 2008, at WMHS, Braddock 
Campus, Cumberland, Md. Born Sept. 28, 1931, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter 
of the late Albert and Myrtle (Lindeman) Buterbaugh. She was preceded in death 
by a brother, Donald Buterbaugh. Surviving are her husband, Joseph E. Wengerd; 
one son, Craig Wengerd and wife, Linda, Fairfax, Va.; three daughters, Gale 
Keller and husband, George; Linda J. Wengerd and companion, Greg Durst and Carol 
Humberson and husband, Tim, all of Grantsville; two brothers, William 
Buterbaugh, Madison, Ohio; Kenneth Buterbaugh, Meyersdale; and four grand- 
children, Kane and Kara Wengerd and Courtney and Cody Humberson. Mrs. Wengerd 
was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a graduate of the 
Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as an LPN at Sacred 
Heart Hospital for 10 years. She later served as a health nurse for the Garrett 
County Board of Education for several years. Mrs. Wengerd was also a homemaker 
and bookkeeper for Wengerd Painting. Darlene was known as Grannie to everyone 
who loved her. Most of her life was spent caring for others. A memorial service 
will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Church of Christ with the 
Rev. Wanda Lester and the Rev. Earl Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in 
the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Trinity United

   Darlene B. Wengerd, 76, of Grantsville, MD, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at 
WMHS, Braddock Campus, Cumberland.
   She was born September 28, 1931, in Meyersdale, PA, the daughter of the late
