  WERNER
  
    Clyde E. "Gene" Werner, 71, Garrett, died Jan. 4, 1999, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Feb. 9, 1927, in Mcdonaldton, a son of the late Irene
  and Zura (Meyers) Werner.  Also preceded in death by one brother and
  two sisters.  Survived by his wife, the former Mary L. Arnold, and
  four children: Clyde E. Werner Jr., Garrett; Jennifer I Werner,
  Rockwood; Debbie Nelson, Williamsburg, W.Va.; and Valarie Wright,
  Lenexa, Kan.; four stepchildren: Charlene Wright and Brenda Snyder,
  both of Rockwood; Majorie Shaulis and Richard Bird, both of Somerset;
  also 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  A brother of: Carl
  Werner, Cumberland, Md.; Merle Werner, Meyersdale; and Hazel Miller,
  Charleston, Ill.  Attended Glade City Church of God.  Friends will be
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday,
  with Pastor Archie Smith officiating.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
