Frances E. Werner, 94, Springs, died July 5, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare, 
Meyersdale. Friends will be received Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Newman 
Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. where a service will be 
held 11 a.m. Monday. Interment in Springs Cemetery.

July 14, 1911 - July 5, 2006

  Frances E. Werner, 94, of Springs, PA, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at 
Beverly Healthcare, Meyersdale, PA. 
  Born July 14, 1911 at Springs, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and 
Nettie (Maust) Shoemaker. Mrs. Werner was preceded in death by her husband, 
Philip M. Werner, November 11, 1973, a grandson, Jeffrey Bone and two sisters, 
Marian Shoemaker and Alta Yoder.
  Mrs. Werner was a homemaker. She was a member of Amity United Church of 
Christ, Meyersdale, Springs Senior Citizens and the Springs Historical Society. 
  She is survived by two sons, Mark Werner, Slidell, LA; Robert Werner, Springs; 
one daughter, Dorothy Bone, Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Alice Miller, Springs; 7 
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, 
Grantsville, MD, on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services were conducted in the funeral 
home on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Laban Peachey 
officiating. Interment was at the Springs Cemetery.
