  GEORGE W. WERNER
  
    George W. "Pete" Werner, 79, of Meyersdale died July 24, 1996, at
  his home.  Born June 20, 1917, in Summit Township.  A son of the late
  Paul and Maggie (Zinn) Werner.  Also preceded in death by four
  brothers and one sister.  Survived by his wife, the former Pauline M.
  Murray; daughter Barbara, wife of the Rev. Robert Robertson, Everett;
  and son, James P. Werner, Somerset.  Also two grandchildren, Andy and
  Amy Robertson.  Veteran of U.S. Army.  Retired sheet metal worker.  A
  member of the Amity United Church of Christ and the Meyersdale
  Volunteer Fire Department.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service
  will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Lamar Bender and
  Pastor Robert Robertson officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery,
  Meyersdale.
