  HAROLD E. WERNER
  
    Harold E. Werner, 80, of Meyersdale, died May 2, 1998 at Meyersdale
  Medical Center following a lengthy illness.  Born March 5, 1918 in
  Summit Township, son of the late George and Katie (Swearman)
  Werner.  Survived by his wife, the former Lois E. Bittner, and
  daughter, Kathy W. Foy.  Also survived by a brother William Werner,
  and sister, Ruth Werner, both of Meyersdale.  Attended Main Street
  Brethren Church, Meyersdale.  A Chessie System retiree with 27 years
  of service.  A member of Meyersdale Lodge 554 F.&A.M., and Harrisburg
  Consistory since 1970.  Friends were received Sunday at the Price
  Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m.
  today, with Pastor Robert Stahl officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.  A masonic service was conducted by Meyersdale
  Lodge 554 F.&A.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home.  Memorials may
  be made to the Main Street Brethren Church, Meyersdale.
