Mr. Werner suffered abdominal pains on Thursday night and was taken to the hospital where he expired of an internal hemorrhage. He is survived by one son, Mahlon C. Werner, of Akron, Ohio, two daughters, Mrs. John F. Schrock, of Meyersdale, and Miss Minnie, at home. Three brothers and three sisters also survive, Henry, Mahlon and Paul, of Summit Township, and Mrs. Sara Baer, also of Summit Township, Mrs. Adam Dietle, whose husband died Saturday morning, and Mrs. Herman Baker, of near Hays Mill. His funeral took place on Sunday afternoon and was largely attended. Services were conducted by Rev. B. A. Black in Amity Reformed Church, of which the deceased was a lifelong and devoted member. Mr. Werner was a good citizen and a devoted christian, and is mourned not only by his immediate family, but also by a host of friends. Meyersdale Republican, January 1, 1931
