Werner, 85, of Glencoe RD 1, died July 11, 1980, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1895, in Northampton Twp., son of the late Conrad and Mary (Bauman) Werner. Also preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred, two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, the former Adeline Cook and these children: Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Martz of Prospect; Kenneth R., Annandale, Va.; and Earl E., Coraopolis; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a former member of Mt. Lebanon United Church of Christ where he taught Sunday School for 50 years, also served as a deacon, elder and trustee. He was a former member of Northampton Twp. School Board, and was formerly secretary of Berlin-Brothersvalley School Board. He was a World War I Army veteran and a member of Harry Fisher Post 445 American Legion, Berlin, and the Veterans of World War I of the U.S.A., Barracks No. 3218, Somerset. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Harry Stoutter and the Rev. E. Wayne Rickard officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
