  MERLE E. WERNER
  
    Merle E. Werner, 81, of Meyersdale, died Feb. 5, 1997, at
  Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born Aug. 10, 1915, in Greenville
  Township.  A son of the late Simon and Nettie (Hostetler) Werner. 
  Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Eleanor M. Bolden, on
  May 5, 1975.  Survived by three sons: Ronald, married to the former
  Carol Meyers; Wayne, married to the former Darlene Stahl, and Larry,
  married to the former Mary Jane Gaughan, all of Meyersdale RD 3;
  seven grandchildren: Michael Werner, married to the former Ida
  Faidley; Todd Werner; Kellie, wife of Steven Haer; Christopher
  Werner; Eric Werner; Heather Werner and Jessica Werner; two
  great-grandchildren: Matthew Werner and Jessica Werner.  Also
  survived by a brother, Robert Werner, and his wife LaVerne,
  Meyersdale RD 4.  Member of the New Hope United Church of Christ. 
  Veteran U.S. Army.  Retired from Kaiser Refractories.  Friends will
  be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. 
  Interment, Finzel Cemetery.
