Born Feb. 24, 1902 in Berlin. A daughter of the late Edward and Linda (Martz) Hay. Also preceded in death by her husband William L. Werner. Survived by a daughter Nancy Jane Werner, Pittsburgh, and a sister, Mabel M. Brant, Meyersdale. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and loving friends. Miriam resided with her niece Patricia Grew, her husband Earl, and their daughter Keena. A member of the Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. She was very active in the community, especially the Pa. Maple Festival and the Meyersdale Women's Club. A retired school teacher with 24 years of service, having taught in the Meyersdale and Kittanning school districts. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Steven Heintz officiating.
