He was born Dec. 9, 1889, in Finzel, Md., a son of William and Mary Belle Stoner Werner, coming to the Hubbard area in 1913. He was a conductor for the Youngstown & Sharon Street Car Line from 1916 to 1924, then later owned and operated the Isaly's Dairy Store in Masury for 49 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon and served with the 4th Infantry Division in Germany during World War I. His wife, the former Irene Spencer, whom he married Aug. 3, 1927, died April 20, 1973. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Buctsch of Akron and Mrs. Carolyn Lewis of Hubbard; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Warner of Garrettsville, Md.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. A son, William died in 1976. Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. The Republic, August 28, 1986 [W0955]
