    William R. Werner 83, of Meyersdale died Feb. 3, 1999, at his
  home.  He was born Oct. 2, 1915 in Garrett, a son of the late George
  H. and Katherine (Swearman) Werner.  He is survived by a daughter,
  Dona Merrbach of Newton Falls, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Steven Merrbach
  of Newton Falls and Michele Merrbach of Somerset, and 3
  great-grandchildren: Cody, Heidi and Steven Jr.  Also a sister, Ruth
  Werner of Meyersdale.  Veteran of World War II.  Member of Meyersdale
  Grace Brethren Church and Charles E. Kelly Post 112, American
  Legion.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where the service will be at 11
  a.m. Friday, with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
