    Junior D. Werts Sr., 68, Kircher Place, Boswell, died Aug. 24,
  1997, at Somerset Hospital.  Born April 3, 1929, in Emporium, son of
  Britton and Lillian (Housler) Werts.  Preceded in death by parents;
  one sister and two brothers.  Survived by wife, the former Anne
  Knopsnyder; children: Lillian, Oklahoma; Deborah Nolan, and Gary and
  wife, Lori, both of Port Allegany; DeWayne and wife, Elva, Hollsopple
  RD; and Junior D. and wife, Mena, Tennessee; 15 (?) grandchildren, 7
  great-grandchildren and sister, Katherine Preide, Ohio.  Member of
  the Baptist Church.  Served in the U.S. Army.  Former motel
  manager.  No visitation.  Cremation at St. Clair Crematory,
  Greensburg.  Memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kaufman
  Mennonite Church, Kaufman Road, Davidsville, with the Rev. Donald
  Sharp officiating.  Interment at the convenience of the family. 
  Memorial to the family would be appreciated.  Arrangements by Hoffman
  Funeral Homes, Boswell.
