  George D. West, 75, Fisher Road, Jenner Township, died Aug. 31, 2005 at
  Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 23, 1929, in Windber, son of George W. and
  Shirley (Penrod) West. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Mabel Raye,
  (Bisel), on Nov. 25, 1994; daughter, Robin Faith West in 1969; and several
  brothers including Hillard, Henry and James. Survived by sons, Kenneth R.,
  married to Elaine (Schinker), Wilmington, N.C.; William O., at home; and
  Russell E., Somerset; and granddaughters, Stephanie and Sabrina West. Brother
  of Leland, Boswell; Louise Pletcher and Sidney, both of York; Douglas, Sharon;
  and Dennis, York Haven. Retired self-employed welder. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m.
  Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. No
  funeral service will be held, and following cremation interment will be at
  Thomas Mennonite Cemetery, Thomas Mills, at the convenience of the family.
