Weyand, 81, Elizabethtown, formerly of Somerset, died April 26, in the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown. Born Nov. 17, 1897 in Berlin. She was a daughter of Charles and Mollie B. (Woy) Cook. She is survived by husband Adolph G. Weyand, Sr. and these children: Peggy wife of Preston D. Jackson, Fayetteville, North Carolina; William F., Camp Hill, Pa.; Adolph G. Weyand, Jr., Rockwood RD 3 and Sylvia wife of Charles B. Horner, Somerset RD 3; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bykota Circle; Auxiliary of Somerset VFW; Auxiliary of American Legion; Member of Trinity Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 138, 50 year member. Her death terminated a marriage of 59 years, April 17. Friends were received in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services were conducted with Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. The Republic, May 3, 1979 [W0997]
