Weyand, 76, of Rockwood RD 2, died Oct. 10, 1988, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 15, 1911, in Confluence, son of the late Preston D. and Bertha (Kutzna) Weyand. Survived by wife, Wilma (Schmid) Weyand of Rockwood, RD 2. Also survived by: two sons, John H. of Friedens, RD 1; and James D. of Somerset; one daughter, Ms. Bertha Trub of Rockwood RD 2; two sisters: Mrs. Rita Korns, Somerset, and Mrs. Grace Holland of Cleveland, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. His death terminates a marriage union of 40 years. He was a World War II veteran, member of D.A.V., Meyersdale Post 127, the Messiah Lutheran Church of New Centerville, International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers Local 527. He was an employee of the Somerset Foundry. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, Tuesday 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., where services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Knowles officiating. Interment, Ursiana Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Somerset Community Hospital Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
