She was born April 8, 1902, in Stonycreek Township, a daughter of the late John P. and Minnie (Trent) Rayman. Preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Whipkey in 1952; and two brothers. Survived by her second husband, Frank R. Weyand; three children: Mrs. Lloyd (Ethel) Shaffer, Somerset RD 5; Dwight R. Whipkey, Prospect; and Harry Whipkey Jr., Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-children: Clark and Elmer Weyand, both of Rockwood RD 1; Merle Weyand, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Fern Simpson, Wellington, Ohio; and Mrs. Ruth Livengood, Somerset RD 4; eight step-grandchildren; five great-step-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Ella Otto, Mrs. Pauline Rodgers, both of Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Ferne Darr of Sipesville. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church; Milford Grange, No. 1744; New Centerville and Rural Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary; and Rockwood Senior Citizens. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service were conducted with the Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh and the Rev. Greg Pile officiating.
