Weyant, 80, of Somerset, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2000 at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. Born Nov. 17, 1919 in Casselman, a daughter of the late Joseph Eugene and Caroline Edith (Tinkey) Nedrow. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Lester B. Weyant in 1980, sisters Rebecca Bullock and Mary Margaret Nedrow; brother Orville P. Nedrow; son-in-law, Ronald L. Koontz, and the following cousins: Ira Nedrow, Foster Nedrow, Lesly Nedrow, Percy Nedrow and Winfield Nedrow. She is survived by her brother, Willard Nedrow and his wife Betty of Bellville, Ohio, cousin Lillian Williams, wife of John of Somerset; and the following children: Patricia, married to James Wisler Sr. of Ocala, Fla., Dorothy Koontz of Friedens, Sandra Weyant Upor of Somerset, Daniel, married to the former Connie Flick of Somerset; Michelle, married to Joseph Moran of Johnstown, Robin married to Stephen Lowry of Stoystown, and Kelly, married to Edward Moran of Johnstown. Also 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She attended high school in Pittsburgh and served as tax collector for Jefferson Township, Somerset County for 33 years and was a member of the Laurel Mt. Chapel and Democrat Club. She enjoyed her reading, cooking and being with her family. There will be no viewing or reception at the request of the decedent. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating her life at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Laurel Mt. Chapel, Corner of Trent Road and Copper Kettle Highway, Rev. Don Judy officiating. Interment to follow at Somerset Memorial Park. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Laurel Mt. Chapel, 2428 Copper Kettle Highway, Rockwood, Pa. 15557.
