Weyant, 76, Meyersdale, went home to be with Jesus on Nov. 29, 2007. Born Aug. 13, 1931, In Garrett, a son of the late Ernest A. and Pearl (Sechler) Weyant. Also preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Brant, Shelvy Bentz and Faith DeVoe; brothers, Elwood Weyant and Ernest Weyant Jr.; grandson, David R. Moore; nieces, JoAnn Brant and Faith "Sis" Foust; great niece, Rene Beranty; nephews, Ronald Weyant, David Blubaugh and Randy Bentz; brother-in-law, James Bentz. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Eva Mae (Fike) Weyant; and three children, Rodney K. Weyant, Meyersdale; Robert D. "Bobby" Weyant, Florida; and Linda J., wife of Thomas Moore, Garrett; four grandchildren, Tracy Weyant, Amber (Weyant) Durstin, Lacy Moore, and Elisabeth (Moore) Baker; three great-grandchildren, Allen Manges III, Micah Moore and Alexis Moore. A brother of Roger A. Weyant and his wife, Nancy, Berlin; Pauline, wife of Gene Blubaugh, Berlin; and Judy, wife of Loren Clements, Orlando, Fla. Also numerous brothers-and sisters-in-law. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War as a lieutenant from 1952 to 1954. A longtime auto mechanic and he operated the Friendly Farmers Market in Meyersdale and helped his son Rodney at Rods Radiator Shop in Meyersdale. A member of Comps Pentecostal Church in Comps. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Meyersdale, with the Rev. Roger Hoffman officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., Meyersdale.
