GILBERT G. WHETZEL

  Gilbert G. Whetzel, aged 45 years, died in the City Hospital, Akron, Ohio, 
Wednesday, June 21.  A former resident of Meyersdale, he was the son of George 
and Kate (Kreitzburg) Whetzel.  He was an employee of the Hamlin Metal Products 
Co., Akron, for the last three years.
  He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, John, of the Navy Air Force; a 
daughter, Mrs. Ethel Antol; one granddaughter; six brothers: William and Adam, 
of Pennsylvania; James of Michigan; Frank, George and Charles of Akron, and a 
sister, Mrs. Leora Warren of Cleveland, Ohio.
  Funeral services were conducted last Sunday afternoon at the Adams Funeral 
Home in Akron, by Rev. H. D. Rose.  Interment was in the Glendale Cemetery.
