  WHIPKEY
  
  Catherine Grace Whipkey, 82, of Somerset, died June 21, 2003 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 1, 1920 in Stoystown, a daughter of
  Frank I. and Stella Elizabeth (Coleman) Koontz.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, C. Wilbur Whipkey who died Oct. 27, 1989; brothers,
  J. Merle Koontz, Fred P. Koontz, Robert K. Koontz and Harold L.
  Koontz; and sister, Evelyn Wentz.  Survived by sons, Randall L.
  Whipkey, married to the former Linda Miller of Columbia, Md., and
  Richard L. Whipkey, married to the former Rebecca Zimmerman of
  Somerset; five grandchildren, Ian R. Whipkey of Columbia, Md., Chad
  W. Whipkey of Foster City, Calif., Mrs. Andrew (Jocelyn) Snyder of
  Gibsonia, Scott R. Whipkey and John R. Whipkey, both of Pittsburgh;
  and one great-grandson, Grant Snyder.  Member of First United
  Methodist Church.  A 1938 graduate of Somerset High School.  Retired
  from the former Polly Jane Shop and former George W. Schenck Co. of
  Somerset.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be conducted at 11
  a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to First
  United Methodist Church, 149 W. Patriot St., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
