  Catherine L. Whipkey, 88, Boswell, died Jan. 11, 2005, at Somerset Hospital.
  Born May 27, 1916, in Champion, she is the daughter of William and Jenny
  (Miller) Nedrow. Preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; son, Wayne;
  brothers, Kenneth, Clair and Domer and sisters, Armitta Whipkey and Carey Gary.
  Survived by her husband of 69 years, Howard Whipkey; children, Kaye, married to
  Kenneth Baker, Friedens; Elnora, married to Roy Menear Jr., Boswell; Sammy,
  married to James Sines, Geiger; Merle, married to the former Kathy Roddy,
  Somerset, and Tim, married to the former Sharon St. Clair, Jennerstown; 10
  grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Donald and his wife, Marie
  Nedrow, Rockwood. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, Jennerstown. She
  enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading. Family will receive friends from 12 to 2
  p.m. and 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown. The Rev. Gary W. Anderson officiating. Interment, Normalville
  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to American Cancer
  Society, Somerset Unit, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501.
