  WHIPKEY
  
  Eugene S. Whipkey, 76, of Beachdale Road, Berlin, formerly of Boswell
  RD, died March 6, 2002, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 13, 1926, in
  Jenner Township.  Son of Henry N. and Lillian E. Whipkey.  Preceded
  in death by parents, grandson, Kenneth Eugene Whipkey, brothers,
  Samuel Vernon and Merle.  Survived by wife, former Fern A. Shaulis,
  children, Gregory J., married to the former Debra Lisbon, Boswell RD,
  Judy L., married to Robert L. Holt, Catawba, S.C., and Vickie L.,
  married to John T. Watkins, of Berlin; grandchildren, Michael, Jody,
  Tony, Cristy, Teri, T.J. and Hannah; and four great-grandchildren. 
  Brother of Howard, married to the former Catherine Nedrow, Chester
  Dale, married to the former Joylene Ream, both of Boswell RD, and
  Thelma Bell of Arizona.  Also numerous nieces and nephews.  Army
  veteran of World War II.  Retired hunting guide for Rolling Rock
  Club, Game Dept., Laughlintown.  Avid hunter and golfer.  Would have
  observed 51st wedding anniversary April 2, 2002.  Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home
  Allegheny Street, Boswell where service will be held 11 a.m.
  Saturday.  Rev. C.J. Ickes and Rev. Gary Anderson officiating. 
  Interment, Beam Cemetery near Gray.  In lieu of flowers, memorial
  donations may be made to your favorite charity.
