Born Aug. 27, 1910, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Charles and Carrie (Pyle) Whipkey. Survived by wife, the former Evalene Irene Ream, and these children: Mrs. Paul (Doris) Deeter, Brunswick, Ohio; Jay B. Jr., Berlin; James, Laurel, Md.; Mrs. Delores Holland, Berlin; Mrs. Merle (Donna) Henry, Elkins, Md.; Mrs. Philip (Druscilla) Martz, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. Franklin D. (Deborah) Speaks, Stafford RD 1, Va.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Wilbur (Alverta) Ream, Listie; and Reid E., Rockwood RD 2. Veteran of World War II, member of the D.A.V. Chapter 127 Meyersdale. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard E.
