  WHIPKEY
  
  Jay Burton Whipkey Sr., 73, Berlin RD 1, died July 22, 1984, at
  Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Aug. 27, 1910,
  in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Charles and Carrie (Pyle)
  Whipkey.  Survived by wife, the former Evalene Irene Ream, and these
  children: Mrs. Paul (Doris) Deeter, Brunswick, Ohio; Jay B. Jr.,
  Berlin; James, Laurel, Md.; Mrs. Delores Holland, Berlin; Mrs. Merle
  (Donna) Henry, Elkins, Md.; Mrs. Philip (Druscilla) Martz, Berlin RD
  4; Mrs. Franklin D. (Deborah) Speaks, Stafford RD 1, Va.; 14
  grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Brother of: Mrs. Wilbur
  (Alverta) Ream, Listie; and Reid E., Rockwood RD 2.  Veteran of World
  War II, member of the D.A.V. Chapter 127 Meyersdale.  Friends will be
  received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 11
  a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Gerald Meadows Jr. officiating. 
  Interment, New Centerville Cemetery.
