  WHIPKEY
  
  Ruth Whipkey, 93, of Confluence, died Aug. 16, 2002, at her home. 
  She was born May 1, 1909, in Scullton, a daughter of the late
  Garfield B. and Mary C. (Shelley) Whipkey.  In addition to her
  parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur, and sisters,
  Olive, Ethel, Nina and Grace.  She is survived by nieces Mary Louise
  Wilson and Leora Berkheimer, both of Connellsville, Helen Ruth
  Harshman of McKeesport, and Pauline Dick of Fort Worth, Texas.  She
  was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.  Friends will
  be received from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Humbert Funeral Home in
  Confluence where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the
  Rev. John Hollis officiating.  Interment in Kingwood I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.
