  WHIPPERMAN
  
  Elwood Whipperman, 73, of Friedens RD 1 died April 28, 1978 at his
  residence in Lakeland, Fla.  Born April 19, 1905 in Somerset, a son
  of Charles and Mary (Landis) Whipperman.  Preceded in death by his
  wife, the former Helen A. Brant.  Survived by son, Elwood Jr. of
  Friedens RD 1 and four grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Leona Chabol
  of Somerset; Telford of Somerset; Paul of Somerset; and Leroy of
  Fairhope.  He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church; retiree of
  Somerset Milling Company.  Friends received after 4 p.m. Tuesday at
  the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services conducted Wednesday
  at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Hartbauer officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial park.
