  CHARLES WHITACRE
  
    Charles (Cy) Whitacre, 57, died Wednesday, Nov. 8 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital, shortly after being admitted.
    Born in Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of the late Clark and Julia Ann
  (Oates) Whitacre.  He was a supervisor for Elk Lick Township and a
  member of the Church of the Brethren.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Mabel Peck; a son, William R.,
  Berlin; a grandchild; two brothers, Ralph of Zanesville, Ohio and
  Joseph of Oakland, Md.; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Martin, Albright,
  W.Va.
    Funeral service was held Saturday at the Newman Funeral Home in
  Grantsville, with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating.  Interment was
  made in Springs cemetery.
