  RALPH B. WHITAKER
  
  Ralph B. "Dutch" Whitaker, 85, of Shanksville, died June 11, 2003 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born May 30, 1918 in Cairnbrook, son of Ralph R.
  Whitaker and Sophia (Will) Whitaker-Paul.  Preceded in death by
  parents; stepfather, William H. Paul; brothers, Donald Paul and
  William Whitaker; and sisters, Faye and Elaine Paul and Genevieve
  (Paul) Shull.  Survived by a sister, Kathleen Oravec of Johnstown, a
  brother Jimmie Paul of Bradenton, Fla., a nephew Timmie P. Miller of
  Hudson, Wyo.; a niece Terri (Paul) Rottner of Falls Church, Va. and
  numerous other nieces and nephews.  He was a World War II Army
  veteran.  Retired coal miner and construction worker.  Member of
  Shanksville United Methodist Church.  Family Will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.  Rev. Marlin Miller
  officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
