David Clark White, 105, of Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died July 1, 1990, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estates, three weeks short of his 106th birthday. He was born in Tyrone, the son of the late David R. and Martha McClain White. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Buckman; son, George, and daughter, Evelyn McLuckie. Survived by son, D. Clark Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Ella Watson of Altoona, and numerous grandchildren to the fifth generation. Rev. White was the oldest ordained minister in the Brethren church, having served churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Illinois. He had interim pastorates in Berlin, Meyersdale and Jones Mills, and also in Cumberland, Md. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.
