He was born July 28, 1902 at White, a son of the late Edgar M. and Ida (Eutsey) White. He was a self-employed lumberman and farmer. He was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren where he served as a church deacon. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nellie (Brown) White in 1987; two sons, Red White in 1983 and Merle White in 1993; one grandson, Thomas White; five brothers: Gay, Glenn, Grant, Grover and Gerald White: two sisters: Gladys Bundorf and Gaile Howard. He is survived by one daughter, Fern McGinley of Star Route, Melcroft; three sons: Wayne White and his wife Dorothy of Jones Mills, Bernard White of Jones Mills and Paul White and his wife Nancy of Melcroft; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-grant-grandchildren; three sisters: Grace Keslar of Donegal, Goldie Solomon of Mount Pleasant, and Geraldine Shaffer of Donegal. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev.
