  BERNARD L. WHITEHEAD
  
    Bernard L. Whitehead Sr., 54, of Blaen Aven Road, died Sunday,
  March 18, 1990, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, MD.
    Born Jan. 17, 1936, in Midlothian, MD, he was the son of the late
  John T. and Maybelle (Blocher) Whitehead.
    He was a former employee of the Winner Brothers Coal Company.  He
  was an army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Trinity
  Assembly of God Church.
    He is survived by his widow, Gloria (Buskirk) Whitehead; one son,
  Bernard L. Whitehead Jr., Meyersdale; one daughter, Janet Poland,
  Midlothian, MD; one  brother, George Whitehead, Baltimore, MD; one
  sister, Gertrude Roberson, Baltimore, MD; and three grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, MD,
  where services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Assembly
  of God Church by the Rev. Jack E. Sallie.
    Interment, Frostburg Cemetery.
