  WHITFIELD
  
  Rossell [sic] Whitfield, 73, Johnstown RD 3, formerly of Acosta, died
  Sept. 17, 1982, at Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg.  Born May 8, 1909, in
  Bedford County, he was a son of William G. and Annie G. (Clark)
  Whitfield.  Preceded in death by parents, and brother, Roy.  Survived
  by brother, Walter, Johnstown RD 3; sisters, Elizabeth, wife of Robert
  Emge, Crapo, Md., and Mrs. Irene Hall, Altoona.  Member of Somerset
  Eagles.  He was a veteran of WWII, and a retired Bethlehem Steel
  Corp. employee.  Friends will be received from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.
