  WHITFORD
  
    Lois J. Whitford, 70, of Meyersdale, died March 10, 1997, at
  Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born Feb. 1, 1927, in Garrett.  A
  daughter of the late Henry G. and Vera E. (Miller) Brocht.  Survived
  by her husband of 50 years, R. Jack Whitford, and a daughter, Jeannie
  E. Whitford, Meyersdale.  Also a number of nieces and nephews.  Member
  of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren and VFW auxiliary.  Employed
  in various local businesses:  Meyersdale Manufacturing, Acme Market
  and G.C. Murphy Co.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be
  conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor John Nalley
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
