WIDNER, Barbara Z.

Barbara Z. Widner, 69, Somerset, died April 22, 2008, at VA Hospital, Oakland. 
Born April 1, 1939, the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Beech) Zorn. Preceded in 
death by parents; sisters, Kathleen Zorn, Mary Lee Shroyer and Patricia 
Claycomb. Survived by daughter, Kathy Fogle, married to Tim, Culpeper, Va.; son, 
Michael Widner, Somerset; grandchildren, Jonathon, Holly and Brian Fogle, 
Heather, Erik and Austin Widner. Sister of Edward F., James J., Robert P. and 
Gerald L. Zorn, all of Berlin; Richard S. Zorn, Kutztown; Lillian J. Conard, 
Gilbertsville; and Joe M. Zorn, Johnstown. Graduate of Berlin High School and 
Somerset County Cosmetology School. Veteran of the Women's Army Corps. She was a 
certified nursing assistant and retired after 35 years from Meadow View Nursing 
Center. Member of Berlin Brethren Church, Berlin American Legion and FOE 
Auxiliaries. She held many state and local offices with AFSCME and AFL-CIO. 
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral 
Home, Berlin, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ralph 
Landis officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Military honors provided by 
Berlin Veterans Home.
