Born Aug. 19, 1927 in Meyersdale, daughter of John Sylvester and Lula Belle (Riley) Bowser. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Arthur Glenn Younker, who died Nov. 24, 1974, brothers John E. and Earl Bowser and sister, Wilma Reed. Survived by children, Ms. Joyce A. Bowser of Somerset, and Mr. Duane A. "Rudy" Younker, married to the former Sharon Soroka, of Rices Landing; 4 grandchildren, Bryan Bowser, Mrs. Wayne (Katrina) Flann and Shawna R. Bowser, all of Somerset, and Steven A. Younker of Listie; and 5 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Shayla and Haley Bowser and Eric and Alyssa Flann. Sister of Mrs. Betty Kosic of Confluence, Harold Bowser of Sipesville and Roy Bowser of Confluence. Also survived by close friend and companion, Samuel F. Wiedner Sr. of Somerset. Member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cumberland, Md., VFW Post 554 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 181 Auxiliary, and Disabled American Veterans of Connellsville Auxiliary. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Stephen C. Sweyko officiating.
